B B KING

I saw and heard the great B B King a couple of weeks ago at the Alabama Theater. What a thrill!

And speaking of thrills, I can still hear that tune in my head. . ."the thrill is gone. . . the thrill is gone bay-bay."

I'd always wanted to see and hear him live but never followed thru. I started marking my calendar several months ago and was bound and determined not to let this opportunity slip by. He's slower now. Diabetes forces him to sit during all of his performances. He sang and played and rocked the Alabama Theatre for almost 2.5 hours. BB is one of our own. A legend. An icon. A national treasure.

January 3, 2010

Which is correct?
Two thousand and ten or twenty ten?
I suppose that in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter, does it?

New year. New decade.
No resolutions for me. Too easily made; too easily broken.

Next month I'll teach a lino block relief printing class at Samford after Sundown. Hope to see you there.

Live. Work. Play.
Let's see what the new year brings!
